The Lantern Parade was cancelled by the Chancellor when violent student rallyists protested at the Board of Regents meeting and broke the windows of the Chancellor's car.
Nonetheless, UP Babaylan still pushed on with the Lantern Parade and paraded around the Acad Oval carrying the streamer which says "UP Babaylan says TOFI = NEGA" (UP Babaylan say Tuition and Other Fees Increase = Not Good) as part of the Organizations peaceful protest against the TOFI which will increase the tuition free from P300/unit to P1000/unit for UP students.
